'Cat meat' shawerma
Health authorities have shut down a popular restaurant in Jahra (Kuwait) for allegedly mixing cat meat with frozen meat and touting frozen meat as fresh.

There's a popular Russian joke about shawerma stands:
Customer: Is this meat fresh? Cook: Of course! I personally heard it mewing yesterday! I haven't heard it about any other type of food establishment, only shawerma (or kebap, or Döner) stands. H "no comment" B

I missed this one. AIUI, Muslims do not eat carnivore flesh. I reproduced a similar (but historical) story that I picked up from Singapore and ended up with a storm of email from Singaporean Muslims stating carnivore is banned and cats could not end up in human dishes (I got reported to the Singaporean authorities who sent me an email stating Singaporean Muslims may have overlooked the sort of hardship that drives people to eat normally banned food
 )
