I saw a Facebook meme about Marilyn Mosby, the Baltimore city attorney who just filed charges against the six Baltimore officers allegedly involved in the death of Freddie Gray. (I don't know if this is the right forum to post this.)

It says that Mosby is the wife of the City Councilman Nick Mosby, "who told the police to move back from their positions, following his order, the stores were looted."

"She was in charge of prosecuting the looters but instead she let them go without pressing charges; meanwhile her husband, Nick Mosby, facilitated the looting."

Does anyone know how true, if at all, this meme is?

IIRC, it's one of the rumors that 4chan and 8chan have been splattering out regarding the riots. The two seem to have been in a competition regarding who can make the most outrageous thing up that the press will still believe.

Her husband is a city councilman- yes, that us true.

He ordered the police to... No. If anyone ordered a strategy if agressive engagement, pull back, or something in between it would be the mayor or chief of police, not a city councilman.

Let the looters go.., the grain if truth if any is that yes, some people who were detained Monday night had to be let go when 47 hour passes without charges. The 47 was an increase from the usual 23. But she did nit "let the looters go" or fail to,prosecute.
