Default Random weirdness

Here's some random weird photos. I'm just going to dump them all here for everyone's viewing pleasure and comments.

First off, this has appeared with all sorts of urban legend stories around it - anyone know where it originally came from?

The same with this picture - it's been described as everything from a Russian sleep experiment gone bad to the last picture on a roll found on a bed where a boy went missing. Anyone know where it actually came from?

We seem to be awash in dragons these days - there's YouTube videos all over the place of dragons everywhere from England to Mongolia. A man from the town of Fuzhou in East China’s Jiangxi Province argues that, on this picture you can see a flying dragon. The event was documented by a camera on his mobile. “I drove home and suddenly I noticed that all the people on the street staring at the sky.

Flying child; though this one is a video, not a picture. Go here to see it on YouTube. http://youtu.be/sT4lVDN2tDA

Mystery of the ancient cell phones - this picture was taken in the 1950's.

Not a picture, but while we're on the topic of weirdness -Ever dream this man? Since 2006, over 2,000 people across the world have seen this man in their dreams. Is this an elaborate hoax or a paranormal phenomenon?

The ancient cellphone seems to be a variation of one that went around a few years ago. That one was from the early 1900s and came from a movie as I recall. The "theory" is that these people were time travelers. Assuming that time travel is possible, your phone would not work as there are no cell towers to transmit the signal.

The Statue of Liberty shot looks like dust on the sensor or film.

The “Mothman” pic looks like a bird of some sort like a seagull or a pelican - I have never been to New York, but I feel confident that they exist there too.

I was just going to suggest that, too, DC. That's almost certainly a frame-grab from that film.

re: the 'cellphone' pic: there are plenty of reasons to put one's hand up toward one's head. The man in the lower right circle seems to be holding his hand as one would to smoke a pipe. The men in the other two circles seem to be coughing, or smoking, or otherwise holding their hands to their mouth, without holding something toward their ear as well. And even in old photos where someone has hid/her hands to ears, it could easily be sheltering the ears from noise, or cupping the hand to the ears to hear something better.

That little guy gets around! Here he is hanging out in a parking lot:

It's a Halloween prop from a company called Spazm that specializes in animated/shaking props:

I'd be more impressed if it looked like Alan Parsons.

The hole in Sibiria has been discussed before, and is a common phenomenon where there has been ice during the ice ages. A river flowing under the ice causes a rock to spin. Over many years, the rock bores down into the riverbed, creating a hole like this.

the 'ever dream this man?' has his own webpage too: http://www.thisman.org

unfortunately (well, fortunately for most - he's pretty creepy) little to no people would have dreamed of him before the website - it's owned by an italian viral marketing company known for making weird art projects and hoaxes.

3. It's a fish, so it's either a photoshop for a carp kite.

4. Hello badly cleaned lens, we meet again.

5. Shocking that people can't recognize birds these days...

7. Uh, why is this a 'mystery', someone shopped the image...

10. Yeah, that's not weird, that's a drawing with Joker as the base.
