Comment: I know this is false...but it is a common mith that the HTTP 404
error code came from the room 404 @ CERN. I think you should have on ur site somewhere. Searching for 404, HTTP 404, and HTTP 404 room resulted in nothing. |

I guess snopes is the only page on the internet? I found this. Basically, there is no room 404 and the different digits mean certain things.

No, it's just a serial number on the response messages. The first digit is the type of message (with 4 being client errors), the rest is just a serial number.
