Months of trouble

While changing planes in India last Friday, I received a message from my editor saying last week's column was a tad short. Air India flight 406 for Varanasi is boarding now. Quick! Hence, I whacked in that little bit of light fluff from a reader about this July, for the first time in 852 years, having five Fridays, five Saturdays and five Sundays and so on - which turned out to be total crap. More fool me. Never mind. He who lives by snopes.com must die by snopes.com. (I do love putting the vicious and oft racist crap you receive in emails through that great website to demonstrate its fraudulent origins.) That particular calendar furphy has been circulating for yonks, lying in wait for dickheads, like me.
