I once had a dream where my partner was a centaur. But it turned out they had human male bits that tucked neatly away between the forelegs*. Which was a relief, otherwise my subconscious might have sent my conscious mind to seek therapy

A bit like the centaurs in the John Varley trilogy.

I had a dream about the Titanides. Oh boy oh boy oh man oh man!! I kept rotating them around in all possible combinations to see how many different ways they could fit together. Not the most restful sleep.

If it were not for the wacky dreams I wouldn't be able to tell I had been asleep.

You can lead a bull to water.

You can drive your car down steps.

A building can be a museum, a hotel and a restaurant at the same time.

When I have a sexual dream, it usually means that I need to use the toilet when I wake up.

That's makes total sense and yet takes the edge off of most of recent dreams.

From two separate dreams in the last week:

Flat pack furniture is just as frustrating to put together in dreams, even if it does come from the US military.

Black pants are impossible to find in a closet when preparing to go to a celebrity's husband's funeral.

Airplane

The easiest way to get to Paris is to fly as far south in Italy as you can and then just cut across.

That if a song is playing in your dream, it remains in your head when you wake up. Extreme "Come as you are" ear worm going on right now.

Fight

Charlie Sheen and Mike Tyson were in a boxing match together.

I didn't get to see who won.

I'm apparently partially responsible for keeping the arena for the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL hockey) free of evil ghosts. And the arena basement is really, really creepy.

I had one of those epic dreams last night, spanning a few different sleep/dream/wake cycles.

Apparently modern day mad-scientist type cybernetics (in this case, a cross between a machine and a living dog's head) has a strong link with ancient Egypt, and there is an underground passage to the research facilities behind some Egyptian hieroglyphic panel in a museum. They are also linked to the disappearance of many of the contestants in a multi-stage extreme-sports race. Going into one of the final stages, base jumping off an extremely tall plateau in the midst of a jungle, the field is down to three women, one of whom disappears after jumping. Nobody has noticed anything weird yet, though, just assuming contestants are dropping out due to death or injury.

Either my dreams are getting stranger since I started this thread, or I actually ended up forgetting more than I realized before.

The strangeness of the day:

I helped to kill some bad pirates from Pirates of the Caribbean. It was all on land, though, in present time.

One of the things they did to protect themselves was to jump in a giant outdoor vat of very hot vegetable oil. I did the same without them noticing.

That apparently going to the 5:30 showing of The Avengers at Theater-I've-Never-Seen-Before-In-My-Life costs $6.50.

Last night I bought a large quantity of textiles, zippers, cloth tape, and a bunch of other related stuff I have no idea what it is or even less what it's for. Unless I manage to figure out what it's all for, if anyone needs anything like this, just let me know. I'm usually asleep between roughly 22: and 06: european time.

I dreamed my boss was a polygamist and I had to be his new wife. The scary thing about it is how non-scary it was.
