TV September 11th Foreshadowed by Johnny Bravo?

Comment: Saw this photo online, whether or not the story is true remains to be found by you! I'm sure this will be added to the list of Sept 11th rumors.

"(Movie about) Fire in high-rise building foreshadowed by Johnny Bravo" would be more like it.

There is but one tower, not two. There are no airplanes. There is no sign that the fire was caused by an impact.

And, in the context of the show, the poster is obviously announcing an upcoming movie, not a real event.

Oh my God. 9/11 was predicted by the movie "The Towering Inferno"!

In 1974.

Minus the planes, a second tower and the terrorists.

And the building collapse.

Spooky.

Perhaps if you combine it with Die Hard 1 & 2, and Fight Club for the collapsing buildings. Would that be close enough?

A single tower burning? Really? Fine, I'm going back to 1988. 13 years prior. 13 IS AN UNLUCKY NUMBER!

I wonder if it's an attempt at phonetic spelling, and if so, how he pronounces coincidence -- does he think it really is pronounced "co-inky-dink"?

The better example anyway IMO would be the Lone Gunmen episode where the bad guy (can't remember who the bad guy is exactly, have to rewatch it I guess) hijacks a plane and tries to fly it into the WTC (and is stopped at the last minute, of course). I believe it aired earlier in '01.

The Turner Diaries, is a white-supremacist fantasy novel which directly inspired Tim McVeigh to blow up the federal building in Oklahoma City. It ends with the protagonist crashing a hijacked airliner into the Pentagon.

And Tom Clancy's Debt of Honor, published in 1994, had the President, most of Congress, several members of the Supreme Court, and several other senior government officials killed when a 747 is piloted into the Capital Dome during the swearing in ceremony for the new Vice President. The Capital Building is now, IIRC, seen as the most likely target for the plane that went down in Pennsylvania.

The WTC was already a target of terrorist and an iconic symbol of New York. And the idea of terrorist using hijacked planes as guided missiles wasn't as out of the blue as people think. The idea that some imagery that in hindsight invokes that fact on some level isn't all that odd.

Stephen King's "The Running Man" ends with a plane being flown into a high-rise, also. He wrote it in '82.

Maybe it's an advertisement for "That's Armageddon!" from "The Kentucky Fried Movie" (1977).

The Bad Guy was a THE GOVERNMENT (it's an X Files spin-off, what do you expect?) - so really, it predicted both 9/11 and 9/11 Trooofers!

It's obviously a movie poster and the first thing I thought when I saw it was that it was a reference to "Die Hard" or "The Towering Inferno."

As for "The Lone Gunman" I did once meet the actors at Dragon*Con and somebody did ask them about similarities between their pilot episode and 9/11. They basically rolled their eyes and said that in most circumstances it's better to bet on a security failure (on the US government's part) than them deliberately setting up such a thing.

I won't deny that some imagery of the World Trade Center Towers is a bit... creepy and disconcerting when viewed in hindsight, but that doesn't mean the images are prophetic.

A magazine ad advertising the "Windows on the World" restauraunt, mid 1980s.

A magazine ad annoucing Pakistan International Airlines new non-stop service to New York, 1979.

Comment: I've got a rumor for you... I've heard this one a number of times
and, since it seems so fantastic, it's got to be fake. I've heard that the
band Limp Bizkit received a letter thanking them for filming on top of the
World Trade Center (for their "Rollin'" video from 2001) that was dated
September 10th, 2001, the date before the attacks.
