I was thinking maybe it had to do with days of the week in titles (Irving Wallace's The Sunday Gentleman, Mitch Albom's Tuesdays With Morrie, so I went to look up whether any of Jimmy Buffet's titles fit the bill. The Wikipedia article gave it away, so I'll abstain from answering in case anyone can come up with it on their own.

I don't think Buffet used that title as a book title, though. (Brad's got it! Although calling anything produced by Glenn Beck a work of non-fiction...)

Too easy. They all mention Georgia somewhere in the lyrics. Am I supposed to come up with one?

They all mention Georgia.
My turn. What specific thing do these actors have in common: Guy Pearce, Mel Gibson, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman, Isla Fisher, Hugo Weaving, Olivia Newton-John. (eta - spanked, but try anyway) |

Damian - they're all Australian? (Not specific enough?)
Brad - I'm seeing a lot of detective fiction, but I'm not sure where Updike fits in. |

That would have been too easy. They are all "Australian" actors that were not born in Australia.

damian - are they all Australians who weren't actually born in Australia? Obviously, Mel Gibson and Nicole Kidman were born in the US, and I think Guy Pearce was born in England.
ETA: Oh, boo. That's what I get for going to make a cup of tea while posting. |

EX-actle. Updike's "Rabbit" books all had a pattern of alliteration (Rabbit Run, Rabbit Redux, Rabbit at Rest, etc.). Macdonald used a color code in his Travis McGee series: The Deep Blue Goodbye, The Long Lavender Look....
And so on. |
