Comment: I saw the Disney Pocohantas movie and saw the leaves spell out
the word SEX. It was in the secne with Pocohantas and Smith meet. They are off in the distance and the leaves blow around. In the Bottom Right of the screen you will notice a few leaves pause (breifly) and the rest continues and you get a glimps of the word. Then it quickly disappears. |

Things like this (sex/sexuality in Disney and other kids movies) seems to have reached the level of religion.. Some people will believe it and nothing anybody can do will shake their faith, others will think they are crazy and are seeing things/making connections that arne't there... I suppose to a degree you could say that about most urban legends.
I've always said the levels of belief strength for people goes: (1) Religion (2) Politics (3) Urban Legends (4) Everything else in the world..

That was Lion King, was it not?
(Regarding the topic title, I was hoping that it wasn't up against the tree.) |

Yes apparently it spelled out "SEX" in Lion King as well, when mufasa is talking to simba, and in the little mermaid's album cover is a picture of a penis in the castle...and don't forget the same thing on the coke machines where you apparently see a womans nipples in the ice...
Sometimes I just think that people like stirring things up :P |

Nipples in ice from a Coke ad? Not quite.
I'll try to see if I can make some screen shots when I get back to school (yes, I own Pocahontas)

My first thought was about the Lion King as well but then I read further, I haven't seen Pocahontas so I wouldn't know...I think it's describing something similar but different movies. Seems like this one is smaller than the Lion King's display

All I can think of is a pair of cartoons that Robert Smigel did for SNL that were mock ads for Disney DVD's. They both start off by identifying Disney as the people who brought you this, that, and then a porn rip-off title of a Disney title. One was 101 Fellations and the other was Poke-a-Hot-Ass.

"I've always said the levels of belief strength for people goes:

There actually WAS a penis on the first release of Mermaid. http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/mermaid.htm But it wasn't, apparently, deliberate.

Pretty sure he was French.

It's always been my opinion (And I may be naieve) But the little kids who are watching the movie are probably to young to even know the word sex. So are we saying that youth is that sucseptible to subliminal messaging, I mean assuming that it is there.

Pretty much, yes. There's a decided lack of supportive evidence.
