I am trying to figure out if this is video of a person, or an actual person inside the clock. Does anyone have information one way or the other? Thanks, Alex |

When I first saw it I thought it was a person writing on the other side of the glass. But when the camera pans around it looks like a video image to me. I do wonder if it was accurate as to the current time somehow. It looks like it was at an art exhibit, and not someone's home.

It looks like a performance piece to me. A guy inside a guy sized box erasing and moving the hands as time passes. It gives a whole new meaning to the phrase: "That guy has too much time on his hands."
And I'm still wondering when we'll see a "Digital Clock" 'cause I didn't see one in that video, bizarre or otherwise. |

It says here that it's a video.

I would have been lazy (Or an engineer, depending on perspective...) and recorded the one hour broken up into 15 minute segments, and then perhaps 24 shorts of redrawing the hour hand, going off screen between each. A whole 12 hour recording is a long time, but lest software to paste the appropriate segments together.
Somewhere on the web is a little digital clock that has a hand that erases and redraws all the digits (With seconds) at a furious pace. |

Wouldn't it creep you out though, having that stange man 'look' at you over his cloth, as you ran naked down the hallway for a late night widdle?

I was wondering if because of the apparent age of the man inside and the size of the clock case if it was meant to be a pun on "Grandfather clock"?

The hallway? A clock like that should be placed either next to the TV screen, where the man can watch you watching the telly, or - better yet - in your sleeping room opposite the bed.

That's really cool, yet kinda impractical at the same time.
I actually have that as one of my screensavers that I downloaded years ago. |
