Glasses Chevy 789

Comment: Have not been able to find out if this is a hoax or not.....

The company is planning a production run of about 100 vehicles.
Sits on a Corvette C6 chassis, front styled like a 57 Chevy, side like a 58, rear like a 59. Hence the designation "789".

I hope it's real, because that is one bitchin' sweet automobile!

And my favorite colors, too.

I vote for real.
N2A Motors seems to be a modification company. Reading their website, they are using a 2005-2007 corvette chassis and Chevy 57, 58 and 59 parts.
Expensive too. $135k for one.

You heartbreaking bastard! I thought it would get into serial production and that I had finally found my next car, then you slap me with $135 000!

No

I'd have one '57, one '58 and one '59 Chevy rather than one of those things. Or just a '58, it's the prettiest one of those. They've managed to ruin three beautiful cars by merging them together; the result is one ugly thing in my opinion. But then again, I'm all for originality - nothing beats the original, me thinks!

Seems like they are using reproduction carbon fiber bodies rather than killing 300 Cheveys

Jalopnik has bad autoshow pics to show that they actually built a prototype.

That's the ugliest car I've ever seen. I must have one.

Yep, I got it. Maybe I should have been more clear with my statement... Just the idea of merging a bunch of beautiful car shapes into that pile of carbon fiber makes me kinda wanna puke.

I actually like the lines of the body, but it looks like they yanked the mirrors off a Honda or something and stuck them on at the last minute. I don't think the seats really compliment the design either.

I hadn't noticed that until you pointed it out... but you're right. The mirrors look awful on that frickin' sweet car. The seats I don't mind as much, but the mirrors? Ugh. Now I can't stop looking at them.

Shifty Eyes

OK, this may be my ink-blot test reaction. The front view has a 'sweet face', while ther rear has 'da ebil face'--with glowing eyes.

That may add to the coolness factor.

(It is still cooler than the Corolla I may buy.)

So there is a real one, then? The car in the OP looks like a 3d rendering of the concept, to me. I like it, though - except for those mirrors.

Are "pointy things" on the front of cars illegal in the US?

Those way-cool hood mounted rocket launchers look like they would do severe damage to a pedestrian that got hit and slid up over the hood.

Gotta disagree with you on that one. The '57 is my dream car. One day when I'm rich and famous (STOP LAUGHING!) I will own at least one of my own.

I do agree with you on that though. The original is nearly always the best.

I hope its real and if not I hope it'll become a reality in the near future. I'd love to own one. Although the colors are nice i'd go with a little different layout in tones of red.

What makes you say that?

I like it!

I wonder what Clarkson will make of it though?

The mirrors and seats look like they're from the donor Corvette.

IMHO: yuck.
