A friend of mine talked me into doing MLP costumes for a convention(anime con) coming up. Anyone have any outfit suggestions? We'll be doing human versions of the characters. She's going to be Pinkie Pie and I will probably be Twilight Sparkle (unless I can think of a good way to do Luna). If her brother comes along, which has not been decided yet, he wants to be Spike... I'd love to buy some of the cute hoodies I've seen for the characters but I think they're too expensive for us.
I'm trying to decide if I want to get a wig or not. I really hate wigs, and my hair already has some purple in it.

If you google my little pony cosplay there are TONS of ideas. From full on furry too stuff you can put together from clothes you might already own.

cool, I think that's about a week before the con here, No-Brand. I usually dress up but I won't be this year. Not 100% sure I'll be there given my due date is two weeks before!

Yeah so far I have about 5-6 potential costumes this year.
We're planning: Bioshock, MLP, Adventure Time, Higurashi, and Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
Two of those, my friend whose going with me and I already have the outfits from last year so we'll definitely be doing them (Bioshock and Higurashi) the rest depend on whether we get things together in time. I think there were one or two others she wanted to do also but I can't remember what they were.

I liked the continuity nods in today's episode. We see the Baby Cakes again, proving that they weren't just (*ahem*) one trick ponies. Later on, we see Rainbow Dash reading another Derring-Do book.

Honestly, I feel like the controversy was never as great as they're making it out to be over at EQD.

I still wonder what awful pony parents would name their poor foal "Derpy" though.
