Default Kangaroo.

A few times ago, I heard about what is supposed to be the origin of the word "kangaroo."

It' s said that, when the first settlers arrived in Australia, they saw that animal and asked some natives what was their name. But since the natives didn' t understand the settlers' language, they answered "Kangaloo," which means "I don' t understand."

Anyone knows if anything in this story is true ?
