Icon86 People who confuse us with the makers of cheap, gooey pasta products

Comment: I grew up loving the Chef,But now that I found MSG is so bad and
it is popping out of every can of the chef.Is there a way to stop the
madness an save our kids from this deadly MSG???? Not even the chinese use
it anymore and OUR beloved Chef would roll over in his grave if he knew
that his product was killing the very people that he loved and pleased for
years. I cannot allow my lil girl to ever eat a bowl of MSG. I love her
and will not kill her or myself with this MSG.Is there a way to take it
out of Chef's products???? Thank You

Why yes! Just send those deadly tins to me and I'll gladly eat the contents for you.

I'm glad you finally brought this topic back, Snopes. It was one of my favorites on the old board.

Chef

Comment: Dear Chef:

Many years ago, Chef Boyardee macaroni and cheese was a regular purchase.

The macaroni (the "long" type, if my memory is correct) was "smooth," and
in a delicious "wet" (but not "soupy") cheese sauce.

Because of those happy memories, when I was selecting some Chef Boyardee
products, recently, and happened to spy your Mac&Cheese!, I bought some.

Quite naturally, I expected it (perhaps unrealistically) to be just like
the Chef Boyardee Macaroni & Cheese I remember.
Sadly, I discovered that it bears no resemblance to it at all!

The main difference is the "texture" of the macaroni. The word that comes
to mind to describe this is, "grainy."

I have no way of knowing whether I may have just received a "nonstandard"
can, or if this is the type of macaroni that you use all the time.

I took only a few bites, and that was enough. It isn't that it was
"terrible" . . . just not pleasing to my tastebuds.

This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in a Chef Boyardee
product.

Perhaps it is "just me?"

This person obviously failed the poetry unit of their English classes.
