If you get a chain e-mail like this, regardless of the subject matter, your first stop should be Snopes.com. Snopes is a wonderful site that actually takes all these chain e-mails and does hard research on the content they contain to find out if the email is factual, false, or contains some truth. Another great service Snopes.com provides is letting you know if that e-mail you got is a scam, and on their front page they have a link to scam alerts, letting you know which scams are making the rounds and are out for your money with their grubby fingers.
