This world traveler complained of lower-left quadrant pain after he kissed the Blarney stone.
The stone is placed in an almost inaccessible position near the top of the castle. You must arch your back and kiss the stone in an upside down position while a trusted friend holds your feet and legs (FIGURE 1). This maneuver places tremendous strain on the anterior abdominal wall as you attempt to right yourself from an exaggerated, hyperextended position. Enough history. Solve the dilemma!
