In January-February 1939, a secret German expedition visited Dronning (or Queen) Maud Land, Antarctica, apparently with the intention inter alia of establishing a base there.

I was able to get it to work by going to journals.cambridge.org and then entering "Antarctica Hitler" in the search box. I then clicked on the PDF link and downloaded the PDF. I'll take a look at it tomorrow since I need to get some sleep now.
