Myth no more: Coca-Cola bottle part of Fox Theatre's starlit sky

A longstanding myth holds that one of the crystals embedded in the ceiling of the Fox Theatre is really a piece of a Coca-Cola bottle.

Officials at the historic theater say it’s actually true.

Perhaps it was just before going home time, the builders realised they were one crystal short of finishing the job and thought "There's no way we're going to get down to the supplier and find one more crystal. Hey I've got an idea. Larry pass that coke you finished earlier. *smash*. It's not like anyone will notice. Job done, let's go home."
