Forest of Death, which co-stars Shu Qi and Rain Li, was inspired by a legend in Japan about a notorious forest adjacent to Mt Fuji. Many young people are said to have committed suicide in it, and according to local reports, many of the bodies have never been found. The strangest thing is it attracts, not the inhabitants from surrounding areas, but people hundreds of miles away. As the stories spread, brave souls ventured to explore the forest but no can say for sure whether the stories are truth or mere urban legend.
