Icon401 Woman pricked by hidden needle

A 56 year old woman is sitting on pins and needles waiting for test results from the Department of Public Safety crime lab.

She was pricked by a needle wedged into a small space on a gas pump at the Conoco Service Station on March 15th.

Sorry, can't resist adding that although I have never been pricked by a hidden needle, I have been needled by a prick.

Virginity is just like a balloon, one prick and it's gone.

Ahhh. Now she'll sleep for many years, get raped, and wake up when she delivers the progeny from that rape.

Is this a sleeping beauty reference? I have not heard the pregnancy variation. Or the rape- only the variation where she wakes upon being kissed.

In the "original" version (i.e. the one by Basile, some 60 years prior to the Perrault collection), the prince NFBSKs her while asleep and she is awakend at the birth of the resultant twins. Well, actually, when the male twin misses her nipple and sucks on her finger instead, removing the poison and waking her.

Prince is riding one day and, nostalgic, goes back for seconds. He finds her awake and confesses. Problem is, he's married. Then there's this whole thing where the jealous wife orders the kids caught and cooked, and, while princy eats his dinner, she tells him "you're eating your own." He freaks, but the cook, turns out, spared the kids.

hence, evil wife is exposed and burned to death, leaving the stage clear for sleeping beauty and the rape kids. She marries the prince, and ELHEA

Cool link. Thanks for the history of that fairy tale Ryda. WOW!

Maybe I'm dense, though, but what does that have to do with the needle in the gas tank? Or was that an example of a prick? I must be slow today.

It's my odd thought process. I was thinking of women being "pricked" by "needles" and how that totally reminded me, at the time, of the Sleeping Beauty story, which has...oh, nevermind.

I have no idea what possessed me to post that. May I plead :insanity due to lack of caffine:?

Oh, no need to plead any kind of insanity. I love fairy tales, and I am just glad I got the opportunity to read that one. Thanks.

Lack of caffeine is at the root of many difficulties.

The Coast Guard just had another person get jabbed by a hypodermic needle while frisking a suspect. Luckily, with kevlar, anti-cut gloves, the needle just got through his first layer of skin and didn't draw blood.

This was after the suspect was told he was going to be frisked and asked, "Sir, do you have anything in your pockets or on your person that could harm either me or you in the process?" The dirtbag answered, "No."

Dipstick was released without being charged by the cops. He wasn't read his Miranda warning before being frisked - though he wasn't asked any questions except for the one above. The Federal Prosecutor is looking into the situation to see if it will draw enough press for her/him to file charges.

Unfortunately, most of our cases are adjudicated that way. No press, no charges.

Infected needles tale a hoax: police

Middlesex OPP say an e-mail about an infected needle on the underside of gas pumps is a hoax.

Is that how kevlar gloves work? That is still pretty scary.
