For those interested, the Angry Video Game Nerd did an episode called "Atari Porn" where he "reviews" a series of adult-themed 8-bit games.
This way you can actually see them in action without having to dirty your own hands (or download them, for that matter)

I feel rather weird about the list and the comments.

Fistly, I have to say that the general negative historic context of caricaturical depiction of African Americans is a rather, well, American sin, and it has nothing to do with aestetics per se and everything to do with decades of American bigotry and racism (myself, I feel much more worried about glorification of gang culture - largely because I feel it makes blacks be percieved as permanent lazy underclass low-lifes). Why it is not OK for Japanese, who never had any issues with black relationships, to use such style - I can't understand.

Secondly, I don't understand what's wrong with openly gay villians. I can understand what's wrong with humping gays from one of the games in the list, but, c'mon, a transvestie pair of bosses? A boss in purple tights? Yes, he does look like Village People. In other news: Village People look like Village People, and, actually, quite a few people in the village do look like Village People. Yay, they're bigots!

Thirdly, making the list for killing Cubans or having a Russian boxer drinking vodka? I mean, where have you been hiding all these years? I think most of the fighting games is a walking national stereotype. And, speaking about that vodka drinking guy, it's by far not the worst stereotypical description.

Amazon yanks Japanese rape computer game

The Rapelay game was reportedly created exclusively for the Japanese market but a couple of "like new" copies were being offered on Amazon by a US seller specializing in Hentai items.
The game was released in 2006 by Illusion studio, based in Japan. Other titles from the studio include Battle Raper and Artificial Girl.

How odd that I actually wrote an essay about this and other games like it for class not too long ago. The professor said to do something controversial, and for some reason, this is the first game that popped up in my head.

As for the game itself, it's as offensive as you think it would be and worse. Odd that it's getting attention now since it's been out for nearly three years though.
