Comment: I got two copies of this one this week, with the usual forwards.
----- last month, my husband and I went to las vegas to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. our third night there, we got a knock on the door for room service. we didn't call room service, but my husband went to the door to see what was going on. when he looked through the peephole, he immediately yelled and covered his eye! a prankster had shined a LASER POINTER through the peephole and blinded him! because my husband has just recently recovered from eye surgery, we immediately went to the emergency room to have his eye examined. The doctor said they'd already seen another identical case in febuary. he told us that laser pointers usually only cause momentary blindness, but the lenses in the peephole can concentrate the laser and cause a "scotoma", a blind spot that could be PERMANENT!! henry's blind spot went away after about three days, much to our relief. but that was more than long enough to ruin our vacation! we reported it to hotel security and police but since henry was blinded he couldn't give them any useful info. so be careful when you answer the door!! sincerely, francine zimmerman |
