Shifty Eyes Clever Ravenstoke, AK ploy?

I've been watching the site for awhile (although I am obviously painfully new as a member) and I figured you guys would know the most about this. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this and I checked and I don't think anyone has posted it before.

There doesn't seem to be anything fishy about the video itself (authenticity, quality, ethos) except for just how unlikely and strange the situation seems and I can't find any other information on it. A bunch of men spray an unidentified scent all of an Alaskan town and girls of all species flock there? The footage makes me think that this did happen, so does anybody have any theories as to what exactly was going on in the minds and bodies of these people?

Ravenstoke, Alaska

Maybe its a fake newscast? I really don't know, so that's why I posted it here!

Yes, it is an advertisement created for a deodorant company. It is not a real newscast.

D'oh!

In no small part, of course, it's fake because there's no such place. Nor would an Alaskan be likely to suggest a name like "Ravenstoke" Place names up here tend to be more like Aguikchuk, Scammon Bay, Sleetmute - "Ravenstoke" just sounds way too goth. And while the newsguy talked about "elders," there were no Native Alaskans to be seen, or even any Russian surnames.
Honestly, you'd think these guys could be bothered to find an Alaskan advisor for just a little verisimilitude.

Some of us work cheap.

Just one more point about scale - a population of 3,000 would make it somewhere around Alaska's 30th largest community. That's HUGE up here. Pretty sure I would have heard of it.
