Icon81 Exhumation of Houdini sought

Eighty-one years after Houdini died on Halloween 1926, his great-nephew wants to exhume the magician's body to determine if enemies poisoned him for debunking their bogus claims of contact with the dead.

I could see doing that just so people will stop talking about it. Just to put an end to the various rumors but would if affect the mystic of Houdini if it is learned that it was just really his appendix?

The first thing I thought when I read the OP was, "Why, did they think he got out?"

Seriously though, I didn't know there was a conspiracy of any sort. All I had ever heard was his being punched and his appendix bursting.

What exactly will this accomplish given that everyone likely involved in his death is now dead? Are they going to dig up the guilty party's bones and put them on trial?

Thank you. This is my thought exactly. Now I know what that tickle was, you inside my head.

He's dead, let's leave his remains alone.

I wonder if they're the same enemies who didn't poison Zachary Taylor.

Why don't we just try to contact Houdini and find out first hand?

We could always send Marty and Doc Brown back to either save Houdini or bring the killers to justice if there are any. Just go with whichever will wreak less havoc with the space-time continuum.

My first though was the headline "Eighty-one Years after Death: Houdini Escapes Grave!"

, too.

Vanishing

The authors of a Houdini bio may be behind all this.

They can try. Whether they succeed or not is up to the court.
