I just got a powerpoint slideshow of this, with an all new ending.

She felt so ashamed!! She realized that she was wrong...
She had forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse.

The man had divided his cookies with her, without feeling angered or bitter.

...while she had been very angry, thinking that she was dividing her cookies with him. And now there was no chance to explain herself...nor to apologize.”

What's a "palavra"? It has an entry in the Portuguese Wikipedia that seems to suggest it's some sort of term to do with writing or language, but I don't speak Portuguese.

So, why that word, and why the stone? Is this translated from a language where those references mean something?

I was thinking the same thing. I can think of no sane reason I would ever say palavra anyway.

She thought "ah....What this abusive man do now?

Firstly, can she not think in coherent sentences. Secondly, she has a very narrow threshold of abuse.

As glurge goes, I don't think this is necessarily a bad story about role reversal, however, this version is roobish.

"Palavra" only became visible when I copied and pasted from the PPS. I was going to delete it, but decided to leave it in as sort of a clue. I do think this thing has done a little wandering outside the English language before returning to us here.

I wonder if they meant "palabra" which, in Spanish, means "word." That's really stupid for three reasons:

1. they just said "word" in English
2. they're assuming everyone would know what "palabra" means
3. they misspelled it so NO ONE knows what they mean


ETA: I just looked up palavra on a Portuguese to English dictionary... it also means "word."

Aww, sweetie! I'm sorry! I forgot it had music. I heard the initial blast and turned off my speakers. I was going to warn you guys after I saved the pps to my computer, opened it in Powerpoint, copied all the glurgy bits and pasted them here, and uploaded the pps file to Fileden so you could enjoy it as I did. But my memory failed - as it often does.

Can I get you something? Ibuprofen? A martini?

This being a glurge, I was thinking along the lines of "you can't undo the results of throwing a stone" (like when you hit somebodies head with it) or "you can't stop the stone hitting something once you threw it". It is worded badly.
