Those crop circles are awesome! Do I believe they originated from aliens? No, but they are awesome art!

Can they really even be called circles anymore since they seem to come in all shapes & sizes now?

Maybe it's just me...but in that last picture I saw nothing that looked even remotely like it could be a ghost, let alone Michael Jackson.

It looks like MJs ghost extends back toward the cameraman. Could it be a shadow of someone walking in front of a bright light? I guess that I'm asking really stupid questions.

2, 3 and 4 are most likely chinese lanterns.

About 100 of them went over head between midnight and 1:00 tonight and they looked the same. I didn't know if what I saw were lanterns, but that's the obvious guess! They startled everybody who were out in the street to look at the fireworks anyway, and one neighbour was saying how they were UFOs, before pointing at the moon and shouting that it's the mothership . I looked it up and they seem to have been very popular this year with people setting them off all over the place at various stages of the year. Particularly in the NW.

My favorite is Darth Vader in the Kit-Kat.

Jesus-in-the-rusty-iron is a close second - 'But honey, God is telling me not to do the ironing!"

I think the face in the glacier looks more like Michael Jackson than the 'ghost' (which does look like a shadow cast by the photographer).

The iron one looks more like Weird Al then Jesus to me! And does anyone see the "Jesus" in the cement in number 8? I've looked and looked and I don't see anything even remotely human there. What am I missing?

And don't you love how every vaguely human-looking image is either *Jesus if male looking or Mary if female? I mean, we are programed to see "faces" when we look at things. I can see one now on the door to my office, but that doesn't mean it's a message from Jesus, it's just the grain of the wood.

And yes, the crop circles are beautiful!

*Lol, ok. I just got to the Tommy Cooper one and oddly, that one is the best likeness I've ever seen in one of these things.

That’s the thing - people do not understand what paradolia is since they see no advantage to it. You combine that with people needing to see reason and logic in everything and refusing to acknowledge randomness leads people to assume it *has* to be a face and it’s a miracle - and you know who was big on miracles right?

Piffle. Clearly it's a touring exhibition of alien art.

"Dragonfly" by Qxzapadunk. Currently on loan to a field in Wiltshire.

And I can't see anything in the cement slab.

Weird Al is telling her not to do the ironing? Okay, that works, too.

I think it's an outline of the Madonna and Child in the cement.

Errr, Jefferson Starship, the Airplane was big on hookah smoking caterpillars.

The crop circles are amazing. Since the early hoaxsters on this were British and signed them, I keep looking for signatures. And I am a bit envious that there were no American crop circles.

And I think it is a miracle that the iron actually ironed anything--it is burned and bent.

Ali "is that irony?" Infree

My bad, I thought it was during the "Airplane" years. I stand corrected with an annoying earworm now.
