Default The 10,000 post mark

Well, it's taken me several years to do it, but I've finally racked up 10,000 posts. Having never done so before, I am now putting out a call for limericks.

When purpleiguna logged on,
She realized that she was close on
Her ten-thousandth post -
Surely reason to boast -
Now let's see what poems this will spawn.

You know, I don't know that I've ever written a limerick before, which probably shows. Congrats on 10,000 and may there be many, many more.

There once was a lizard from Pennsy
who posted in such a great frenzy
that the keyboard was smokin'
and of that I ain't jokin'
now the lizard has gone off to bed, see?

There is nothing that rhymes with "frenzy".

I've just been told that the whole limerick thing has recently been... not entirely encouraged. I apologize if I've stepped on any toes, but in the event the thread gets left open, I would be interested to see what people write. And thanks to Roadsterboy and DadOf3... very funny!

MG, you know me too well, darn you!

You haven't stepped on any toes purpleiguana, the limerick thing for post milestones started up innocently enough but as always with these things it ended up with some posters netting many replies to their post count threads, and others few, and in this sense the practice was put to bed by common consensus.

Whatever the reason, my apologies are still offered. I thought it was all in good fun.
