Shiloh Pepin, a girl who was born with fused legs, a rare condition often called "mermaid syndrome," and gained a wide following on the Internet and national television, has died. She was 10.

OMG. They just had her birthday party on TLC like a month ago. She was doing so well.

That is sad. She seemed to deal with everything so well, I thought she would make it to adulthood.
RIP Shiloh. You were an inspiration to many children with disabilities.

I watched some of the TLC program where she went to camp for the first time. It was the first time she was away from her parents for a significant amount of time. Saying goodbye to her best friend was a heartbreaking moment. How incredibly sad.

I watched both TLC programs about her. I was hoping for her independence and long life.
