This happened just down the road from me:

Many Indianapolis drivers were lucky to survive a massive semi-tanker propane explosion. The semi-tanker explosion occurred on an Indianapolis highway ramp. It was severe enough to generate a huge fireball and promises to close no small section of the highway for weeks.

Lawrence Township Fire Marshal Dick Groves said the tanker truck was headed south on the I-69 ramp onto I-465 South when its top hit the overpass. The truck had up to 1,000 gallons of petroleum, he said.

I wonder how much AmeriGas is going to reimburse the taxpayers for repair.

Eastbound I-465 restrictions lifted

Rush-hour traffic went smoothly through the newly opened lanes on eastbound I-465 this morning with no accidents or fender benders reported, said Indiana State Police Sgt. Dave Bursten.
