Pig Citibank yanks MasterCards

Quote:
Citibank (C) has begun closing customers' accounts without telling them. That's a bitter surprise for some people who pull out their cards to make a purchase, only to learn that the card has been denied.

This seems to be a pattern with CitiBank, in my experience at least. When I had a Citi card they would constantly add "features" with extra service costs without notification or permission, hoping that people would not notice them before the free opt-out period was over and one time even switched the network from Visa to MasterCard. They would also constantly call to sign me up for services, programs and features I didn't want (and yes, I told them not to contact me unless it was an issue with the account or possible fraud - they didn't listen).

Getting rid of them was the best thing for my credit card management.
