San Diego I-5 jammed by 8 1/2-hour bridge suicide blockage
A woman who was considering jumping from a San Diego bridge has surrendered, about 8 1/2 hours after police negotiators closed a downtown freeway, backing up traffic for miles.

Same thing happened out here about ten years ago. The person did jump off the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and landed in the Potomac, but rescue crews were waiting and they pulled him out.
