A 63-year-old homeless Russian man has gone from street life to stock market trader after collecting thousands of empty booze bottles for cash, a popular Russian tabloid has reported.

There was a case in Sweden last year when a man who had seemingly made a meagre living out of collecting empty bottles and beer cans died and it turned out he was a millionaire after trading on the stock market. He had estranged himself from his family (or if it was the other way around), living in a run-down old house. Immediately some nephew, whom he had met but once or twice in his life, popped up and claimed the inheritance on some shady grounds.
