Default Train drags German mooner half naked along tracks

A German man mooning at railway staff in a departing train got his trousers caught in a carriage door and was dragged half naked along the platform, out of the station and onto the tracks.

To add insult to (minor) injury, he now faces charges of dangerous interference in rail transport and insulting the train staff.

Don't know about Germany, but in the UK you can get nicked for verbally abusing the staff at a train station / tube stop.

Insult brings up a completely different image, however. At least, to me.

I'm guessing something got lost in translation. Especially since the German articles all mention how drunk he was (example). According to the article in this morning's paper, his blood alcohol level was 2.09. In Switzerland, drunk driving is anything over 0.05. I'm not sure about Germany, but it's probably not higher than 0.1.

Also, since attacks on train personnel have been rising here in Switzerland, the train companies have added more rules to protect their people. I would guess that Germany has similar problem.

Watch your units there...that's 2.09 parts per thousand, which I think is about 0.209% BAC (w/v). [ETA: Actually, I think the ppt is a mass ratio, so it would be 0.209% w/w, and the w/v value would be close to that, but slightly lower due to the density of blood being just above 1 g/ml). Certainly quite intoxicated, but if that were 2.09% BAC, he'd have been dead for sure.

And according to wikipedia, the legal limit to drive in Germany is also 0.05% BAC (for most drivers).
