Comment: I heard from a friend of my dad's that he is friends with a guy
known as the villiage idiot. Possibly the ultimate proof that he is is this: The guy pays $75,000 for what he thinks is a new corvette. Pays it all, goes to the state its selling in to pick it up (long after he paid). He finds out that he didnt buy a car...he bought a photo of a car. Now the reason he paid $75,000 is because that was the buy it now. Now the guys sues the seller trying to get his money back. Now here is the part that makes him stupid. He loses the case because Ebay got involved and printed the ebay listing and in the discription it said that it was a photograph. So he proves, you need to look at the fine print especially on ebay. |

This was a common "tactic" on ebay when XBOX360s and Wiis first came out.. poeple would sell "NEW
I also saw an episode of Judge Judy where someone sold a "picture of a cellphone!" for $600 . (link to episode included) None of this was legit or legal and ebay reversed the charges on them (and Judge Judy gave the plaintiff thier money back). This is similar to the old "Bronze Engraving of Abraham Lincoln" for only $10 plus S&H .. which turned out to be a penny. Although exactly what it was purported to be, it's a misrepresentation of expectations.
