Cheer Dallas judge paves way for gay couple to get divorce

In a first for Texas, a judge ruled that two men married in another state can divorce there and that the state's ban on gay marriage violates the U.S. Constitution.

Rick Perry's quote in the article indicates to me that he really doesn't understand why the judge ruled the way she did. It doesn't matter if 150% of Texans supported something in this case. The ruling was based on the US Constitution, not Texas' Constitution.

Communist. Truth is always a popularity contest.

It's not like you could actually tell what's against the Texas constitutional. It's a meandering morass of outdated, ill-conceived, and contradictory laws and regulations. The last time it was culled, we ended up with a 150ish page nightmare. And that was after editing.

I actually love it because if Greg Abbott hadn't intervened in the first place and just allowed the court to dissolve the marriage, then it might not have come to this. You'd think people against gay marriage would be happy to dissolve one when given the chance.

But Kev, you can't dissolve that which does not exist! So let the gheys be married forever. Or something.
