A 41-year-old man has been found guilty by a jury of two of three charges related to exposing himself to his 20-month-old daughter in front of a computer screen containing a nude woman.

There isn't a single thing about that whole story that isn't enormously messed up. First of all, obviously the crime for which this man was convicted was appalling and possibly an indicator of more serious abuse, let's get that out of the way. But his conviction appears to be based solely on the testimony of his estranged wife, who didn't report it at the time and was sufficiently unconcerned to marry him the following year and have another child, which is also appalling.
And a potential life sentence for indecent exposure because he probably committed a much more serious crime for which someone else was convicted then exonerated? Yeah, that's appalling too. I think it's fair to say that I'm appalled. |

Only if they suspected child abuse. Of course, I'd think any reasonable person would be suspicious at that point...
