I am tempted to answer "Yes. Yes, it is," in a serious voice, then wait a few seconds before bitch-slapping the stupidity out of this person.

Hmmm...I come on to this thread for the first time and every single thought I had has already been spoken.

That is why you fail. But beware. Anger, fear, aggression... the dark side are they.

Awesome... racist... there's a portmanteau destined for Urban Dictionary here, I'm sure of it.

ETA: It is pretty racist, though. I just can't believe anyone thought it was real...

Seriously. Everyone knows a real pimp wears a fur coat over a blue blazer.

Here's a question. The original competition was "If Pimps ruled" with the rules stating:

Quote:
Show what the world would look like if it were ruled by pimps and players. You can depict people, things (i.e. a tricked out funeral home) basically anything in a world where pimps rule,
As such is the photo itself still racist? Or is it only its use in the context of the email?

Only in the context of "is this real..." Like, if someone was even singling the Obamas out and making a joke out of it, that would be lamely racist. But this is like, sadly racist.

In that context, I would say no, its not racist. I can easily imagine them doing something similar with Bush - I think a fur coat would fit, especially with him making on of his typical faces.

Pimp cup with a W monogram would be fantastic.

Comment: “This was sent to me by an old ex-neighbor who wound up being a White House photographer. She said that after the Ball some fashion critics suggested that the attire could be questioned by some and therefore a lid was put on all photographs. This one happened to make it to my email, however, and I’m passing it along to only a select few. Please don’t let this fall into the wrong hands.”
