Police Fantasy hockey league
Last year, we had a Snopesters Hockey League in addition to our baseball and football leagues. I have received a PM from someone who was in that league, asking if I was going to do it this year. To be honest, I hadn't planned on it. But if there is sufficient interest, I will set it up.

Fantasy hockey is a little too much for me to keep tabs on, but if you do a playoff pick'em or something, then I'm interested. I'm not sure if there's a fantasy game that follows the winter olympics, but I'd be all over that too.

Is it possible to set it where you just need the requisite Forwards/Defense/Goal instead of specifically C/LW/RW/D/G? The Sportsline league I played in last year did it that way and it really opens up options.

Granted, that was about the only thing I liked from that Sportsline league, but that was nice.

I'm not sure. I know ESPN does that, but I am soured on ESPN.com (too much bandwidth being wasted by ads). I will look into setting the league that way if I can.

Actually, I think it was me!

As far as this year, I've set up the league. It's going to be head-to-head, and I've added more scoring options. I've also set playoffs. Check it out.

I have a feeling that we may miss week 1, but if everyone joins quickly, we may make it. Games start October 1 (Thursday).

By the way, Casey, I set it Forward/Defense/Goalie.

Since there are six, what would be wrong about each having 2 teams, and just mandating no trades between teams you own?

I'm not sure Yahoo allows for that, although that's common on WhatIfSports, especially in progressive leagues.

According to Yahoo, we actually have until December 3rd to get the league up and running, or it will be deleted. However, I'm sure we'll be there shortly.

So, please, if you'd like to play in one of our leagues, join. Sports knowledge is unnecessary (you try getting NHL info in Cochise County Arizona! ).

I didn't encounter any problems with getting a second team into this league, although I didn't complete the registration process (I wanted to wait until a decision on this matter has been reached as well as give other people a chance to join).

Well, I guess that means we can enter second teams.

I'm going to give it more time before I decide to go that route.
