Five Washington state baristas charged customers to touch their breasts and buttocks at an espresso stand where servers wear bikinis to draw business, police said.

If all this wadded up money was making contact with random genitalia i'd be seriously worried about the potential state of my change

I would say that, generally speaking, you should not lick money anyway. Overall, though, I am mostly just glad that our state isn't in the news for having sex with horses or peeing on money.

Are those acts really prostitution? It all sounds within the realm of what a stripper would do, and that's legal.

Of course, depending on the areas rules regarding strip clubs it could still be illegal, but a far cry from prostitution. I do find it funny that women serving people drinks wearing bikinis/underware is A-Ok, but women taking said clothing off is horrifically wrong and illegal. -MB

As the article states, "Charging money for that kind of touching falls under the city's definition of prostitution."

The first time I went to a strip club I touched one of the girls, not sexual but in trying to tip her I guess, and a guy quickly came over and said I was not allowed to touch the dancers. So I kinda of carry that over to lap dances as well. The dancer can touch you but you cannot touch them back, as the touching is just part of the dance. I wouldn't know how hard it is to give a lap dance ( I think it would be more laughable then sexy if I did so. ) and not touch the person you are giving the dance too, but it is very easy for said person not to touch the dancer. ETA: But yeah, it would all depend on local law, and the strip club itself rather or not patrons can touch the dancers. E*E

Usually that's part of the law. It depends on where you go. In some parts of Florida and Vegas they have "full friction" lap dances where touching is allowed. In most places that's illegal. I know in Cobb County, GA (where I grew up) they shut a place down because the girls touched some undercover guys in a club, tax dollars at work.
