Cheer U-Haul offers free storage space (for flood victims)

Well, maybe they plan on making it up on people who have to exceed the thirty days, or on people renting trucks to move the stuff to storage. Still, during disasters a lot of vendors raise prices instead, so it is nice to see a combination of good public relations and kindness to those in need.

Well, Public Storage usually runs $1 for the first month even without natural disasters. If someone has to rent a truck anyway, getting the storage free for a month from UHaul will probably steer them away from Budget and other competitors. Seems like a nice and financially sound idea.

Ah, okay, so it probably sounds more generous than it is in practice.
