It seems that a new Winnie-the-pooh book is due out next month, and the good news is that the Milne Estate have approved and authorized the work - mine's on order
![]() 'But are you really going to write us new adventures?' Christopher Robin asks. 'Because we rather liked the old ones.' A sentence or so later Eeyore gives his thoughts - and, unsurprisingly, they are not encouraging. 'He'll get it wrong,' says Eeyore, 'see if he doesn't. What does he know about donkeys?' Quote:

Eeyore the donkey, still gloomy after all these years, is dubious, but he and others in A.A. Milne's children's classic, Winnie-the-Pooh, are in for some new adventures in the first authorized full-length sequel in more than 80 years.

For the record - my edition (ostensibily for my niece) arrived at the weekend and it really is splendid. It carries the same sense of richness as the original stuff and as such is as good for the nostalgia of we adults as it is worthwhile for the kids

So the CGI-rendered Winnie the Pooh who solves mysteries with Tigger and a freckle-faced young girl isn't considered canonical?
