Ponder Let me Google that for you

Comment: Is there a holdiay called May Day in the month of May? As a
child we celebrated it in Lincoln, Nebraska. What can you find out about
the holiday?

Yes, there is such a holiday as "May Day", but we moved it to August due to a scheduling conflict.

It was destroyed by the liberals, who forced everybody to say "Have a good summer" instead of "Happy May Day."

Because "May Day" sounded too much like "Jay-sus."

Mayday? Why, that's the Russian New Year. You know, we'll have a big parade, we'll serve hot hors d'oevres…

Comment: Dear Snopes,
I was reading some film reviews, researching for better ways to
improve my writing, when I began reading the film review about CHINATOWN.
It said that Roman Polanski's wife, Sharon Tate, was murdered by the
Mansion family five years before CHINATOWN was shot. She was allegadly
pregnant at the time. Is this true?

Yes, but then her ghost visited them, and they became the Haunted Mansion Family. They can now be seen at Disneyland.

Comment: I submitted an inquirey on this subject a little earlier and I
got two standard replys. I had already searched everywhere/way and I did
not find any reference to my search question. Is it true that Maureen Dowd,
a NY Times columnist, wrote an editorial about the source of Obama"s
campaign funds? If, it is in fact, in your system, please give me
specifics on how/where to find it.I do not believe it is there yet.

D'oh!

Comment: How can I get my computer (or your site --?--) to give more than
the beginning of a sentence as a "summary." I'd like to know what you
really think about an article/email/website, not just a little teaser.

Let's see... you move the mouse to the appropriate article, and then you left-click. Or do you need something more detailed then that? *rolls eyes*

Comment: Why is it that when I put in a query a page will come up with
numerous stories that are completely unrelated?

Comment: Regarding people: my coworker just decided that he is not
qualified to use your search engine, and instead just asks me to check
everything for him. He was interpreting the search results page as a
"true" response. So if any rumor was "found" on your site, he was
forwarding it on as fact.

Comment: Snopes has been my source for validating statements/actions etc.
made by people sending me emails. I now consider Snopes.com SUSPECT in
liberal bias. I asked for "Pelosi comments windfall taxes on IRA
accounts." Snopes: Nothing found. I then asked "Obama comments on
spreading the wealth." Snopes: Nothing found. This is evidence that
Snopes is protecting the liberal left, as I have heard the interview with
Obama in a radio interview where he specifically stated he believed that
we should "share the wealth." What is going on with you guys? You have
disgraced yourselves.

This is doubly stupid because, since both the referenced items are false, our supposed failure to include them would in fact be detrimental to the "liberal left."
