Icon24 More products made from anti-freeze

Comment: I was told by my doctor that "Mucinex" (expectorant) was just
potable motor home antifreeze.

The active ingredient in Mucinex is Guaifenesin (an expectorant).
The active ingredient in non-toxic (potable?) antifreeze is Propylene Glycol. It is sometimes used as a solvent for food colorings, and could feasibly be used in cough syrup to a small extent but it is not an expectorant.
