Default "Friendship Ball"

I've pretty much gotten my friends to stop forwarding me stuff, but every once in a while they seem to slip and send me silly things like this.

Quote:
Throw it back to someone else who means something to you!

The Friendship Ball

A ball is a circle, No beginning, no end.

It keeps us together Like our circle of friends
But the treasure inside for you to see
is the treasure of friendship You've granted to me

Today I pass the friendship ball to you

Pass it on to someone who is a friend to you

OK, THIS IS A TEST TO SEE HOW MANY FRIENDS YOU HAVE!!!

HERE GOES: INSTANTLY WHEN YOU RECIEVE THIS LETTER, YOU'RE REQUESTED TO ROLL IT ON TO AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE, INCLUDING THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO YOU!

Now the ball is in your hands!
Don't drop the ball!!

I can see that forwarding this type of rubbish is a test of friendship, but perhaps not in the way the glurge-writer meant.

This "circle of friends" and "testing" was sent in the "simple friend VS true friend" chain email as well, it's amazing how forwards really don't know they're sending the same stuff repeatedly, whether it's presented as a "ball" a "wheel" or "test" and I always say that friends don't "test" friends, but getting these chain mails really does test one's tolerance and patience with people who just won't get it and keep on sending this junk.

The last time I checked, a ball is a sphere, not a circle. It may be round, but a round object does not always a circle make.

Or something like that....

Icon19 A bit of doggerel

Throw it back to someone else who means something to you! My dobe loves chasing balls!

The Tennis Ball

A ball is a circle covered in dog spit
Bruce will bring it back, but veer off when I try to grab it from his mouth
'Tis a slobbery treasure he keeps from me,

Today maybe Bruce will drop the ball and I will pick it up and throw it for him

OK, THIS IS A TEST TO SEE HOW MANY times you can grab a nasty slobbery tennis ball from the mouth of a large dog and throw if for him!!!

Now the ball is in my hands!
Don't drop the ball!!

Bruce! *throws ball*

Here is my ball.

I'm passing it on to you because you are my friend.

If you are a true friend, you will treat my ball nicely and pass it on to more friends.

I would like for everyone in the world to be touched by my ball.

If you like it, you can see my other ball later on.

Erm... if you're letting me see the other ball later on, I pray you didn't detach it as you apparently did the first one in order to pass it around...

You're absolutely right. This isn't a "friendship test," it's a test of patience. Why would friends need to test each other? The idea that you're testing someone's friendship at all is enough to convince me the friendship isn't good!

From the OP title I was hoping this was going to be a new variation of Spunkball.

I think I would prefer a spunkball to a friendship ball.
