Anybody else out there notice that, on the trailer for "Peter Pan" the figure of Wendy smiling up into the pixie dust is the same figure as Alice from "Alice In Wonderland" when Alice is smiling and trying to make nice with the Red Queen?
Or is this just proof I've watched "Alice In Wonderland" so many times my brain needs a vacation? Are there other Disney cartoons where the figures have been recycled? |

Yes, they've done it on many occasions.
Here are some other examples. (It's on Ebaums World, so it will probably have NSFW/NFBSK ads) I doubt this is something only Disney did/does with their animation. |

Speaking as an animation student, if you can do something to save time and money, you do it. It's a necessity of working with such a time-consuming and expensive medium.

Recycling is a pretty common animation practice, and Disney is certainly far from the only company that does it.
I recall another example of a Disney recycle is the dance Belle and the prince do at the end of Beauty and the Beast; it was "borrowed" from Sleeping Beauty. The cite seems to be eluding me at the moment, though. |
