Local legends
Are there any local ULs attached to your region?
Today a colleague told me he'd like to go diving in a local reservoir because "there's a whole village down there". The only thing under the reservoir is a farm (which also used to breed poodles) and the "drowned village" legend arises from the 3 surrounding same-name villages with South, West and East. Therefore, according to local legend, North must have been drowned by the reservoir (plus there are a few reservoirs where villages were submerged). Periodically the tale resurfaces and does the rounds. I explained to him there was no lost village. Local legends anyone?
