The band's managers want to meet with an Ohio heavy metal fan who said he has listened to the latest Judas Priest album every day for more than a year.

Big deal. When I worked in a record store, I had to listen to a number of albums every day (sometimes multiple times a day) for at least a year.

I didn't work in a record store, and listened to The Smiths Queen is Dead album (on cassette) every day for 3 years.. until the tape warped..then i re-recorded it and I also have it on my ipod and listen to it frequently.
Do i get to meet Morrisey and Marr now?

On a radio show discussing how rock n' roll is the devil's music, I once heard a story about a guy who was compelled to listen to Stairway to Heaven three times a day every day. He was not invited to smash up hotel rooms with the Zep.

I was certain, after reading the title, that this would be from the Onion.
I love JP and probably listen to at least one of their albums once per week. I have seen them live six times. Still, this would likely drive me bonkers after a while. Variety is the spice of life.

I have often spent an entire work day listening to the same song over and over again. I'm not always in the mood to do it, but every once in awhile, it just feels really right to me.

![]() I don't even know the names of many of the songs my coworkers force upon me, but the station seems to play only about four songs over and over and over and over again.

I really don't think this is that unusual. I've definitely listened the same CD or tape 365 times in as many days, especially when I was younger and owned less music. I listened to Michael Jackson's Thriller in its entirety several times a day for an entire summer. I listened to Beastie Boys' License to Ill hundreds upon hundreds of times, even as the quality gave out.
My dad kept the same cassette in the car for about 18 months once. I was usually in the car enough to hear all of it several times a week. It was my favorite band at the time, so no complaints from me then. Even now, whatever I bought most recently is likely to stay in the car CD player until I buy something else. Excpet U2's No Line on the Horizon, which was just a huge disappointment that I'd just as soon throw out the window as listen to again.
