Disney Disney clocks set at 9:11

Comment: is it true that Disney used 9:11 on all his clocks in his cartoon
movies or the date 9:11? if so, why?

Not sure about this, but I have seen that in commercials or other advertising, the clocks are sometimes set at 10:10. This way, if you look at the hands, the clock looks like it's smiling.

Conversely, I've seen it in a movie (Fried Green Tomatoes) the other way around. A major character died at 4:40. The clock was sad, too.

Now I'm going to have to take a look at the Disney movies I own. But I'm pretty sure that, at least in Lady and the Tramp, that's not true. And what about the whole midnight thing in Cinderella?

Cogsworth's hands went every which way (Beauty and the Beast) - pretty useless as a clock, actually.

I've also read that the 10:10 position keeps the hands out of the way of the logo, which is often at 12 or 6.

Yes. He was very ahead of his time, saluting our fallen brothers and sisters during 9/11. He beat the director of the Willard remake in that aspect. By about 50 years.
