Pictures of snopesters
I present three pictures of my most recent trip to the batting cage.
My normal left-handed stance:  Settling into the box, straightening up just prior to getting into my stance:  And between pitches, I always (unconsciously) make sure I'm standing in the right part of the box:  My stance is pretty much the same right-handed, though I stand slightly closer to the plate and a little farther up in the box.

When the pantry is getting empty, or I and the roommates just don't feel like cooking, I'll (teasingly, of course) threaten to eat their left arm as a last resort.
One night Vern desided to take me up on the offer.  Too chewy, so I went with the fish sticks instead.

This morning I got a chance to go out birding with the professor of ornithology who runs our summer program. We were driving along watching upland sandpipers, trying to spot ones with bands, when we saw a chick running along the road in front of us. The professor jumped out and grabbed it, and although he didn't have his banding kit, I still got to hold it. So, here's me with a chick. Feel free to concentrate on the fluffy bird and ignore my field work-styled hair.

New hairdo! I got my hair cut about a week ago, and I colored it burgundy yesterday as a reward for weight loss. I've gone red before, but always a lighter hue. Here's me with teeth showing, and without:
