Default Fun with Post-It Notes

Somebody with way too much spare time...

Some of the blue and pink bits look too smooth to me, but maybe that's just the resolution of the pic.

Real or not I like it. It looks like a pinata.

Reminds me of the book "How to get a better life by stealing office supplies".

This photo made me want to do my car like that when it's time for the annual safety inspection (but I would keep windows and lights clear, of course). It would be quite amusing to see them try to come up with some rule that I'm breaking...

Yeah, but think how hard it would be to suspend it in the first place...

Let's see...
  • Post-its could be blown off during travel and stick to another car's windscreen, obstructing the driver's view?
  • Post-its from the hood could be blown on your windscreen, obstructing your view?
  • Littering due to post-its falling off?
  • Fallen off post-its pose health hazard to moose and other species?
  • Bright dayglow colours could distract other drivers? The car could be mistaken for a traffic sign?
  • Driving a car with a covering not approved by Vägverket?

Can you tell I work in gouvernment?

It's real, I saw it on America's Funniest Home Videos. (What? My grandmother was watching it and I was in the same room!)

Me too, Hyper! I don't know if this is the same car as on AFV, but it was post-it notes just the same. Definitely real.

I saw that as well. This is the kind of practical joke I don't mind. It's cute and no one gets hurt or humiliated and nothing is damaged.

At college one day my friends and I walked out to the parking lot and saw a car that appeared to be covered in black polka dots. When we got close enough we realized someone had taken Oreos, split them and stuck them all over the car!

I think the only one of those that might work is the littering, but even so, that's not part of the checklist they are required to stick to (no pun intended).

I could probably argue that it's cargo, thereby putting it completely outside their jurisdiction.

I wonder how many post-its that took.

It took 13 of them two hours, according to one of the people who did it, in the news report in Jay Tea's link.

Yeah, me too.
Unfortunately, none of my friends have a car...you think my friend will mind if I do it to her horse, instead?

I actually DID this one! When my cousin got married my friend and I decorated the "getaway car" with Oreos.

Word to the wise... don't do this in Texas, in July. The cream melts and the Oreos slide around and fall off. At least my cousin saw it all before they fell off.

The link to You Tube says 14,000 post-its. This is one pricey prank.
A cube of neon post-its is $6.79. That's 470 pieces of paper. Dividing 14,000 by 470 is rounded to 30, for a total of $203.70

I can think of better ways to spend $200. And if those came from the company supply cabinet, I'm sure the comapny could think of a better way to spend $200.

Actually, I think that would be a really cool idea for the costume class at our winter horse show.

ETA: And in the winter, the horses are usually clipped, so less hair, and they would probably stick better.
